Prime Minister inaugurates new Savina Dental Clinic at SkyParks Business Centre at Malta Int'l Airport
Savina Clinic – Dental and Implantology Centre, established in Gozo in 1985, has recently opened new premises at SkyParks Business Centre at Malta International Airport. Prime Minister Joseph Muscat inaugurated the new clinic on Wednesday 23rd October in the presence of the minister for tourism Karmenu Vella, Parliamentary Secretary Franco Mercieca, BOV Chairman John Cassar White, BOV CEO Charles Borg, SkyParks General Manager George Mallia and MIA CEO Marcus Klinghofer.
In his remarks, the Prime Minister said Malta is becoming recognized as a centre of excellence in many disciplines, not least in medicine and dentistry and that this new clinic would set the bar higher. He praised the initiative of Savina Clinic in promoting Malta in the field of medical and dental tourism.
Joseph Xuereb highlighted the facilities on offer, including the latest implants, laser surgery, piezosurgery, Cone-beam CT scans and X-ray technology, same-day porcelain crown and bridgework as well laser tooth whitening. He also demonstrated full facilities for disabled persons including dental units adaptable to all wheelchairs in six fully-equipped treatment rooms. Dr Xuereb thanked business partner Kevin Galea of Suratek Ltd, importers of Soredex Imaging Systems represented for the inauguration by Matti Muikku and Tiina Hoiku and Planmeca, represented by Klaus Huhtala as well as Claudio Crotti of Zimmer Dental, suppliers of Zimmer dental implants, Tony Veverka of BioEden Tooth Cell Bank and other local suppliers.
Centrally located and easily accessible from all parts of the island, ample parking facilities and proximity to the airport make the new clinic convenient for all local and visiting patients for whom Savina Clinic aims to provide prompt, quality and affordable dentistry. The staff complement is made up of four dentists, an orthodontist and a dental hygienist.
